GPP survey

The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Slovak Environment Agency has launched the web application www.gpp.sazp.sk with the aim of monitoring the level of green public procurement (GPP) application in the Slovak Republic and also raising awareness in the field of GPP.

„GPP can be understood as a process whereby public authorities seek to procure goods, services and works with a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle when compared to goods, services and works with the same primary function that would otherwise be procured." COM(2008)400

Why participate in a GPP survey?

The purpose of monitoring the application of GPP in Slovakia is to obtain information on whether public funds have been used to purchase goods, services and construction works that are more environmentally friendly and at the same time help to achieve environmental goals. The data obtained in this way are important in terms of determining the future direction of GPP in Slovakia, which is a key tool for achieving smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.
